Surrendering to Jesus

My name is Kyle, and this is my testimony of how Jesus completely transformed my life. I grew up in a home where love didn’t exist. I was ignored unless I was being punished for something. There was no affection, no encouragement, no warmth, only silence or anger. As a child, I learned to shut down. I learned to close my heart because it felt safer than hoping someone might care. That carried into adulthood. I lived with anger, guilt, shame, and a deep sense of unworthiness. Any conflict made me shut down completely. I didn’t know how to love, and I didn’t know how to receive love either. For years, I lived in sin and brokenness, believing that was all life had for me. I carried demons from my past- spiritual, emotional, and generational- and they shaped the way I saw myself and the world. But Jesus didn’t leave me there. When I finally surrendered my life to Him, everything began to change. Through the loving guidance of my pastor, Andrea, I started to understand who I truly am, not the forgotten kid from an abusive home, but a deeply loved child of God. Andrea walked with me through a deliverance session that changed my life. Jesus used her obedience and compassion to break chains I had carried since childhood. I was delivered from the demons that had tormented me, lied to me, and kept me bound in fear, shame, and anger. For the first time, I felt free. Jesus has been teaching me what freedom truly feels like. He has been healing wounds I didn’t know how to talk about and opening parts of my heart I thought were dead forever. I’m learning to walk in the Spirit, let go of shame, and live with the peace that only comes from Him. I’m learning how to be a husband in Christ, present, open, loving, and willing to grow. I’m learning how to be a father who leads with gentleness instead of fear. I’m learning how to love others because I finally understand how deeply the Father loves me. My life is no longer defined by anger or silence. Jesus has given me a new identity, a new heart, and a new way to live. I am walking in freedom, learning every day what it means to follow Christ, and grateful beyond words for the transformation He continues to do in me. This is my story, a story of deliverance, redemption, healing, and the overwhelming love of Jesus.
